LET’S GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED.

Below, you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about my services, booking process, and what to expect on your event day.

BEFORE BOOKING

Peak Saturday weddings are often booked 12–18 months in advance. If your date is sooner, it’s still worth getting in touch as I occasionally have last-minute availability.

Absolutely. We can arrange a phone or video consultation to discuss your plans, music preferences and answer any questions before you decide.

With over 15 years’ experience, I specialise in live mixing rather than fixed playlists. Every celebration is carefully planned around your music, your guests and the atmosphere you want to create, while adapting naturally throughout the evening to keep the dancefloor full and the energy flowing.

BOOKING & PLANNING

Yes. Timings, playlists and event details often evolve. We’ll review everything together before your event so your entertainment reflects your final plans.

I work closely with your venue and suppliers throughout the day to help everything run smoothly, coordinate key moments and keep your celebrations running to schedule.

MUSIC

Absolutely. You can send a playlist of your favourite songs, must-play tracks and artists. I’ll use it as the foundation for building a soundtrack that’s personal to you while keeping the flexibility needed to read the room and adapt throughout the celebration.

That’s exactly what I specialise in. Through careful planning, live mixing and reading the room, I create a dancefloor that brings together different generations, cultures and musical tastes.

Yes. I regularly perform at multicultural weddings, seamlessly blending cultural music with modern party favourites so everyone feels included.

Yes, unless you’ve asked me not to accept requests. I balance guest requests with maintaining the energy and flow of the dancefloor.

WEDDING DAY

No. The music continues throughout your celebration, ensuring there are no interruptions to the atmosphere.

I always dress professionally to match the style and formality of your event unless you’ve requested a specific dress code.

Absolutely. I’ll confirm the correct pronunciation beforehand so every announcement is made professionally and respectfully.

EQUIPMENT & VENUE

About an hour in most cases.

A typical setup requires around 2m x 2m. If your venue has limited space, let me know in advance and I’ll recommend the most suitable setup.

Yes. I provide professional sound, DJ equipment and lighting.

Some venue sound limiters are sensitive and may even be triggered by guests cheering or applauding. Most UK wedding venues allow sound levels of around 90–95 dB, while limits closer to 85 dB can affect the atmosphere, especially at larger weddings. I’ll always work within your venue’s restrictions to create the best possible celebration.

Yes. I carry Public Liability Insurance and PAT-tested equipment. Most venues require these documents and I’m happy to provide them directly.

LIGHTING

Yes. Ambient uplighting is available to transform your venue, complement your colour scheme and create an elegant atmosphere. Colours can remain static or change with the music. Professional installation and collection are included.

Absolutely. Uplighting enhances architectural features and creates a stylish ambience from guest arrival through to the last dance.

PROFESSIONALISM & BACKUP

In the extremely unlikely event that I cannot attend, I have a trusted network of experienced professional DJs who can step in so you’re never left without entertainment.

Yes. I always carry essential backup equipment including spare cables, microphones, music sources and other key components to minimise the risk of disruption.

EVENTS & TRAVEL

No. I also perform at corporate events, private parties and celebrations.

Yes. I regularly travel throughout the UK and perform at destination weddings overseas.

Yes, provided there is suitable weather protection and a safe power supply.
